5 Manila Hotels Under $20

The Philippines is a great destination for novice travelers. Everyone speaks English, it’s relatively safe, the girls are cute and friendly, plus there’s a ton of exotic beaches and jungles to explore (if you’re into adventuring). Finally, visiting here is pretty cheap. Case in point, I’ve rounded up five well-reviewed Manila hotels under $20 a night.

Some of these (if you book in advance) are even within the $10 – $15 range.

If you’re on a budget but still feeling the call of adventure, these hotels are perfect for you.

1. Zen Rooms Fortview BGC

This is the cheapest hotel under $20 I could find. And for this article, I actually went here and spent the night.

You know what?

It’s not bad!

My room cost $11 plus tax. It was clean, had free WiFi, and is located in Makati (Manila’s downtown area). If I were a budget traveler looking to visit the Philippines, I’d definitely stay here again.

2. Point Norte Residence (Reddoorz Premium)

I’ve stayed here before and think the Point Norte Residence (called Reddoorz Premium on Agoda) is a terrific value. It’s not the best hotel ever, but it is reasonably priced and centrally located.

For under $20 you’re getting a room, free WiFi, swimming pool, and housekeeping. Plus, you’re only five minutes from two of the area’s biggest shopping malls (always a major plus).

3. OYO 106 24H City Hotel

Another inexpensive, well reviewed hotel in Makati. The OYO City Hotel offers free WiFi, daily housekeeping, and a swimming pool.

As much as I’d love to tell you more, there’s not much else to discuss. The City Hotel is a wonderful value and a great option if you’re looking for a simple, clean place to stay.

We’ll worth a booking.

4. RedDoorz Near Araneta Center

Here’s another hotel in Quezon City, an area I personally enjoy. This hotel is highly reviewed as a great value for money and many guests describe its location as “excellent.”

While there’s no swimming pool at this Reddoorz, you will enjoy comfortable rooms and free WiFi.

A good value if you’re interested in exploring Manila.

5. OYO 115 Northridge Mansion

I’ve seen this hotel listed on Agoda for as little as $14 a night. In other words, you’re getting a terrific bargain by staying here.

The OYO Northridge Mansion offers spacious rooms, free WiFi, and daily housekeeping. You’re also located right near the Ninoy Aquino Wildlife Center (a neat attraction for nature lovers).

Like the other hotels on this list, Northridge Mansion offers a terrific value for money and top-notch location.

For travelers on a budget, you can’t go wrong staying here.

Final Thoughts On Manila Hotels Under $20

(Metro Manila Is Quite Nice)

When it comes to budget lodgings, Manila offers a whole slew of quality choices. Unlike other countries (*cough* Thailand *cough*) low-cost doesn’t mean filthy rooms or a bad location.

These Manila hotels under $20 are clean, comfortable, and within minutes of most local attractions or tourist destinations.

P.S. Looking for more travel options? Why not check out what else Agoda has to offer. You’ll find thousands of wonderful hotels at affordable prices.
