We often hear that there’s no place better than America. The USA is number one, and nothing else can compete. Maybe so for certain things like business or technological innovation. But it isn’t true for everything. Today’s article looks at five things Asia does better than than the USA.
Best of all, these five improvements are all things which personally impact you and affect your quality of life.
1. Massages
(Putting My Finger In A Fish Massage Tank)
When the average person thinks “Asian massage,” they imagine a seedy hooker den. These certainly exist, but there are also hundreds of thousands of legitimate – above the board – massage parlors too. These are fantastic if your an athletic man, since they provide a terrific way to rest and recover after a hard afternoon of lifting weights or practicing martial arts.
Best of all, quality massages are dirt cheap.
For $10, you can enjoy better service than most American places that charge $100 – $200.
Because of this, you can make weekly massages a part of your regular routine. Something which is going to make you feel better and more relaxed. This is a nice, simple luxury, but one which really improves your overall quality of life.
2. Coffee Culture
Cafes are one thing Asia does much better than the USA. Vietnam is home to the best coffee in the world, including the exclusive and highly sought-after Kopi Luwak blend. You’ll find cool and unique coffee shops all throughout Saigon, Hanoi, and smaller cities (like Da Nang). These range from cafes built into mountainsides to places with exotic animals or beautiful historical decorations.
And countries like Thailand or The Philippines have European coffee houses which are virtually unknown to most Americans (like Paul or Ladurée). If you enjoy relaxing and cafe culture, Asia is an excellent destination.
3. Personal Safety
(You’ll Be Alright In Any Neighborhood Here)
Speaking of cafes, I’m currently writing from a busy one that’s right on the street. About five minutes ago I got up, leaving my phone and wallet unattended on the table. When I came back… Both were still there.
Of all the emerging markets, Southeast Asia is the safest. It’s virtually impossible to run into trouble while traveling through Vietnam, Thailand, or Singapore. And even some of the more “sketchy” countries (The Philippines and Cambodia) are reasonably safe if you use your brain. As long as you aren’t looking for problems, you (and your stuff) will be safe from thieves and scammers.
If you’re used to hecklers and petty crime in the USA, you’ll be happy to discover that Asia is much safer.
4. Weather
One thing Asia does better than the USA is weather. If you like tropical environments, or enjoy spending time in Florida, Vietnam and Thailand have climates to suit your preferences.
I personally love being in the tropics at night. It’s the perfect temperature, and everything looks gorgeous. If you’re from a cold weather climate and want something better, look to Southeast Asia. You’ll enjoy warm weather all year, greatly improving your mood and allowing you to spend more time outdoors.
5. Women And Dating
Visiting the United States is like taking a trip to crazy town. Visit any online dating site in America and you’ll see the most insane drivel imaginable. It’s no wonder the country is experiencing a porn and incel crisis.
Whenever I’m in the States, whether it’s visiting family in the suburbs or hanging out in the major cities, I’m always shocked by how poorly everyone (men and women) take care o themselves and how unpleasant most people behave. In Asia women (and men too) put effort into how they look or dress. And the local cultures are all built around being polite and respectful.

Because of this, meeting women is actually fun.
Online dating sites have some real hotties, and a service like Tinder or VietnamCupid is full of cute girls who are more than happy to message with you.
While there are a lot of things Asia does better than that USA, this may just be the most important.
Living in a society with attractive, pleasant women is a lot more fun than being stranded someplace with obesity and an ongoing “battle of the sexes.”
Final Thoughts On What Asia Does Better
The USA might have better tax incentives for big business, or they have a superior startup culture for app makers. But when it comes to daily activities, America is lacking.
Most of the United States has bad weather, expensive luxuries (like massages or physical therapy), and some really bad dating scenes.
Because of this, there’s a good chance you’d have more fun and enjoy a higher quality existence abroad. And if you still want the best of both world’s, start a business or invest in the USA while reaping the benefits of living in Southeast Asia.
