Can Tho is a large city located in Southern Vietnam. It’s situated in the Mekong Delta, one hundred miles south of Ho Chi Minh, and has a population of 1.2 million people.

Population wise, Can Tho is twice the size of Seattle. So there’s plenty to do and see here.

In town, there are tons of stores and coffeehouses to keep you occupied. While the surrounding countryside is littered with beautiful pagodas, lush jungles, and breathtaking river cruises.

Additionally, the city really livens up at night. Once the sun sets, locals head out to spend their evenings along the river promenades, or at the many karaoke bars. It’s a fun time, and you’re sure to find some form of nightlife on any day of the week.

Lastly, Can Tho offers several attractions that aren’t found anywhere else.

Here are a few of my favorites:

• Floating market – This is a great shopping experience unlike anything you’ll find back home. Locals gather their boats together and sell a wide variety of snacks, craft goods, and foods out on the open water.

• River cruise – This is a fun evening activity and a great date idea. For a couple bucks, you sail down the river, admiring the scenery while eating a delicious meal.
• River promenade – In the evenings and at night, the river-side boardwalk comes alive. Locals come out to walk along the water, play games, and unwind. When you’ve got some downtime, be sure to hit this up.

In addition to these activities, there’s also plenty of standard city stuff as well. Most notably, the bar and club scene.

Can Tho Nightlife

Like most cities, Can Tho’s downtown area is where all the action takes place. There are dozens of bars, clubs, and karaoke parlors to keep you entertained. And all of them get busy at night. There are lots of places to chose from, and they’re all fun, but my personal favorite is the XK club.

Where To Meet Women In Can Tho

While this is a big city, women are quite conservative.

It’s tough to score one night stands or random hook-ups here.

However, most local girls are very friendly, and are more than happy to meet you for a date. If you’re looking for a serious relationship, this is great.
