Marc Faber Life Advice: Why Get Rich Overseas

Marc Faber is world famous investor and multimillionaire known for making money in emerging markets. To quote Faber himself, his best investments were:

“Stock markets in Korea and Taiwan in 1979, Philippines and Thailand in 1986, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Peru in 1988, Japanese Nikkei puts in 1989, staying out of Asia after 1994.”

Faber is know for his contrarian investment advice, as well as his often negative stance on the US economy (I’ll let you judge that one on your own). YouTube is filled with Faber interviews and investment recommendations, like these:

Faber also appears as a guest in Tony Robbins book MONEY Master the Game, where he breaks down a lot of his contrarian ideas and explains how you can profit off future trends.

But that’s neither here nor there. Because today, I want to talk about the best life advice Marc Faber has ever given. And it appears in a random, interview about treasuries (time-coded below so you don’t have to sit through the whole thing).

Marc Faber Life Advice

When asked, how should you choose where to live, Faber responds:

I like Asian Women. Maybe someone else likes Brazilians or Cubans or Russians or Eastern Europeans. I mean there are lots of things to consider. Everybody has his individual personality and his likings… If I were 20 I would probably go to Vietnam.

Let the wage slaves toil in their air conditioned nightmare, financing riding lawnmowers and commuting to a job they hate for 40 years. You don’t have to. Pack up, live where you want, and do what you want. Move to countries where you can easily build wealth, and surround yourself with beautiful women the entire time.

Life is too short to settle.

P.S. If you like Asian women, or are curious about Vitenam, check out Vietnam Cupid. It’s the country’s largest dating site and free to join.
