Quit Your Job Today

If 2020 teaches you anything, it’s that taking the safe route never works. You can be a boring guy who constantly avoids danger, and yet you’ll still get punished. If you’re facing great danger, you may as well reap great rewards. That’s why today’s article urges you to quit your job today. Or at least to start quitting it, mentally.

Life is too short to be boring. Shake things up by quitting your job, traveling the world, and enjoying every minute of your life.

Quit Your Job If You Want To Get Rich

It is virtually impossible to get rich as an employee. Unless you’re an executive making $5 million per year, you will probably never earn enough to quit working at a reasonable age. Call me crazy, but I have no interest in retiring when I’m 65 years old with a whole slew of health problems. And I doubt you want this either.

Work for yourself and you eat what you kill. If you want to bust your ass and make $20,000 in in one month, awesome. If you want to goof off at the beach, go swimming, and completely skip work; you can do that too.

Personally, I like working about every other day.

When you are the boss, you don’t have to worry about punching a clock or showing up every day. You can build your business to suit your lifestyle. If you are competitive and want to make tons and tons of money, you can. But you can also focus on passive income streams and “hands-off” paydays that give you more free-time to relax and have fun.

America Sucks, Leave It

Imagine playing it safe your entire life, and living in a place like Minneapolis or Kenosha. Small, boring cities without a whole lot going on. Then, one day, looters and protesters march into town and destroy everything. There goes your whole life, and worst off, you’re stuck there to deal with the chaos.

Free men don’t deal with this. When trouble comes, they leave.

It’s how smart people avoided the Soviets and the Nazis and all kinds of other kinds of other totalitarian regimes throughout history. America can burn itself down, but you’re safe on a beach halfway around the world.

How To Quit Your Job And Never Look Back

At the start of this article I said to quit your job today. This doesn’t literally mean walking out right now. But it does mean that you should mentally start uncoupling yourself from your work. And, you should start building your own business as soon as possible.

Here’s the plan:

  • Learn affiliate marketing. This is the easiest business to jump into, bar none. And what with Twitter and Instagram, you don’t even need a lot of technical skills to get started. I recommend Affilorama as a training tool for anyone just learning the ropes (click here to see more).
  • Reinvest your affiliate profits into cash flowing assets. Basically, buy dividend stocks or dividend paying ETFs. Here’s a book if you don’t know what “dividends” are, and otherwise check out Top Dividend Stocks for some great, high yielding picks. Buying assets sounds boring, until they start paying all your lifestyle expenses. Personally, I collect about $1,000 per month in dividend income. That’s enough to cover the rent almost anywhere on Earth.
  • Plan your escape. Figure out where you want to live, what you want to do, and how much this will cost. Once you hit your income goal, book a plane ticket and never look back.

Living well is a lot easier than you think. Control your time and your location, and you’re going to be far happier than 99% of people who walk this Earth.
