Stand Out Without Breaking The Bank

Outside of Wall Street or Miami, most men put zero effort into their appearance and personal style. Which is good news for you, because it makes it easier to stand out.

At the risk of ranting, I recently attended a somewhat fancy event and at least 80% of the men there were dressed like slobs. T-shirts and gym shorts or hoodies and cargo pants, at an event people would have historically dressed up to attend.

The good news?

It’s never been easier to outdress your competition.

Here are three simple tips to help you stand out, without breaking the bank on designer clothes or high-end accessories.

#1: Dress Up (Way Easier Than You Think)

Merely wearing long pants (jeans, khakis, whatever) and a button-up shirt will make you stand out in many social circles. A lot of men’s fashion accounts on Instagram make it look like every guy is dressing up in designer clothes or has male model looks. But in reality, 99% of men will go out in a t-shirt and gym shorts.

And that includes men who are going to bars or house parties in hopes of getting laid!

Excluding the nicest neighborhoods of a few major cities, simply putting some basic effort into your appearance is enough to stand out.

Wearing a nice flannel shirt and jeans is enough make you better dressed than the majority of men.

Low bar. But again, that’s good for you. Use it to your advantage.

#2: Skip High-Priced Designer Clothes

(You Can Buy A Nice Watch – Like This Timex Marlin Chronograph – For Less Than $200)

There are certain environments where expensive clothing is the norm. And if you live or work in one of these environments, you already know the dress code.

For everyone else, designer clothes are mostly a waste of money.

The thousands of dollars you’d spend on a designer outfit, or the tens of thousands of dollars you’d spend on a high-end watch, are better used elsewhere. This isn’t sour grapes either. I own a nice watch and it’s gotten me laid exactly zero times.

Good, functional clothing trumps luxury brands.

Here’s an example…

A TAG Heuer Carrera chronograph costs about $7,000.

A similar-looking and functionally identical Timex Marlin chronograph costs $180 – $190. You get an equally slick watch, at a fraction of the TAG Heuer’s price.

The same concept applies for shoes, shirts, jeans, etc…

#3: Wear Cologne Women Like (An Easy Way To Stand Out)

(Bentley For Men Intense Is A Great Signature Scent)

Good cologne is the highest ROI fashion accessory you can buy.

Get a fragrance that’s pleasant and unique if you want to stand out.

Bentley For Men Intense is a well-known compliment magnet that most women love. And it’s a great way to make yourself memorable.

There are other great colognes out there as well, like Paco Rabanne Pure XS or Halloween Man X. But, Bentley For Men Intense does especially well with women. In the world of fragrances, it’s a hidden gem head-turner.

And you will get compliments wearing it.
