Timex Ironman Endure Review

Did you know that Timex is older than Rolex? Or that Bill Clinton wore a Timex Ironman Endure to his presidential inauguration?

Did you also know that Timex Ironman watches are still popular with military personal and law enforcement?

Why?

Because the brand is tough.

And in today’s Timex Ironman Endure review, I want to explain what makes the Ironman a great watch. And why it’s the perfect timepiece for exercise, travel, and business.

Why Buy A “Dumb Watch?”

Fitness trackers and smart watches are popular gym accessories.

Most people love these devices because they offer a wide variety of different features and functions.

I don’t.

The majority of these instruments create distractions. Apple and Samsung watches constantly display notifications. Or, you end up getting sidetracked as you pick what music you want to listen to.

And a lot of other trackers have too many features, making it easy to open the wrong screen.

Pretty soon, you’re fiddling with your device, not working out.

“Dumb watches” don’t have this problem.

You get the time, an alarm clock, a chronograph, and a timer.

Everything you need, and nothing you don’t.

There are several great “dumb watch” options, But one of my personal favorites is the Timex Ironman Endure. This is a simple, easy-to-use digital watch. And it’s entirely designed for exercise and rugged situations.

As the name implies, this watch is designed for Ironman Triathlon participants.

It’s built for swimming, running, bike racing.

And hardcore workouts.

Here are the features you get, as well as non-fitness situations where the Ironman Endure really comes through.

Timex Ironman Endure Review

The Timex Ironman Endure is a simple, functional watch.

And one that’s designed for sports.

This watch has 200 meters of water resistance. More than enough protection for swimming or boating.

No wonder the Navy SEALs and U.S. Marine Corps use this watch.

The Ironman Endure also has a 100-hour chronograph, 24-hour countdown timer, military time mode, two time zone displays, and calendar that shows the date; month; and year.

There’s also the Timex Indiglo feature that lights up your watch face. Making it perfectly legible in total darkness.

The Timex Ironman Endure’s two biggest buttons are “Start” and “Split.” These are used to time yourself when running, swimming, or lifting weights.

I personally get a lot of use from this feature whenever I jog, or do bodyweight exercises.

So does famous Navy SEAL Jocko Willink, who wears a Timex Ironman for his infamous 4 AM workouts.

Is The Timex Ironman Endure Only For Fitness?

Timex Ironman watches are often mocked for looking like a “Kid’s watch” or a “Dad’s watch.” Basically, people say they look cheap and tacky.

And you know what?

They’re right.

This is definitely not a dress watch. And it does look kind of cheap and tacky.

But, there are some benefits to this.

For starters, this watch is tough.

The weird looking case actually makes the Timex Ironman Endure “shock proof.” Which means it isn’t going to break if you drop it or smash it into something.

The Ironman Endure also has a dual time function, so you can set it to two separate time zones.

This is good for international travel. And can keep you from missing important meetings or flights.

And lastly, the “cheap” or “tacky” look keeps you safe.

Crime is on the rise. And a lot of people are getting robbed, kidnapped, or killed. It’s happening in the United States, Europe, Latin America, and even Asia.

Wearing an inexpensive watch protects you from trouble.

While this isn’t necessarily a dress watch (and I wouldn’t recommend wearing it on a date), the Timex Ironman Endure has a lot of functionality outside of the gym. You can grab this watch for under $50 on Amazon, and it has more features than a $12,000 Rolex.

It’s water-proof. It’s drop-proof. There’s a chronograph. There’s a two-time GMT function. And you get an alarm, as well as an easy-to-read illuminated dial.

This is an excellent daily-wear watch. Especially if you lead an active lifestyle.
