Hoi An is an ancient Vietnamese city built over 2,000 years ago.
Originally a shipping port used to trade with China, Hoi An eventually evolved. Today the city is a well-known tourist destination.
The area also has a small town charm. And is much more relaxed than Vietnam’s larger cities.
In this travel report you’ll learn about the city’s cost of living, daily life, and local dating scene. I’ll also tell you about the town’s two biggest industries, one of which is sure to interest anyone who loves dressing well.
Anyway, let’s dig in.
Cost Of Living In Hoi An
(This Is A Quiet Town)
If I had to describe the cost of living in Hoi An with only three words, I’d say “cheap, cheap, cheap.” You can live in this city for mere peanuts.
How low is the cost of living?
You can rent a massive villa (with a swimming pool, maids, and gardeners) for only $580 a month. That’d cost you thousands of dollars back home.
(Hoi An House Is A Great Service For Long-Term Rentals)
Daily items are just as cheap. Lunch costs a dollar, a coffee runs you $0.80, and a beer is about $0.75. If you’re looking to get the most bang for your buck, head on up to Hoi An and settle in for a while.
It’s a cheap town to live in, making it great for any man on a budget.
Hoi An Daily Life
(Thousands Of Lanterns Decorate The City)
Hoi An has two major industries: making paper lanterns, and tailoring custom suits.
If you want top-notch custom clothes at a bargain price, you need to come here. A friend and I each bought six suits and the total bill was under $1,000.
For getting quality duds, this is best place in Southeast Asia.
That said, Hoi An is a small town and much quieter than Ho Chi Minh. There’s not a lot of nightlife, and the people are fairly conservative. If you’re looking for fast-paced action, this isn’t the spot for you.
However, if you’re a man who likes to relax and take things slow, you’ll love Hoi An. This is a fantastic place for guys who want to enjoy the simple life.
Come check out Hoi An when you’re in Vietnam. You can get some cool clothes, relax downtown, and unwind from the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City.
Where To Meet Women In Hoi An
(Online Dating Is The Way To Go)
Hoi An is a quiet town. Because of this, there’s not a lot of nightlife. If you’re looking for bars and nightclubs, you’d be better off heading south to Ho Chi Minh City.
That said, it is still possible to meet Vietnamese girls here.
Thanks to online dating site VietnamCupid, you can message and connect with plenty of local cuties. Currently, VietnamCupid has more than 200 female users in the town of Hoi An. That gives you a lot of opportunity for scoring dates.
After you meet a girl online, invite her out for coffee or a nice walk around the city center. Both are great ways for the two of you to bond.

(Hoi An’s Ancient Bridge – A Major Tourist Attraction)
Hoi An is a great city for buying custom clothes and exploring historic sites. It’s inexpensive, the women are hot, and there are plenty of cafes and coffee shops to relax in.
While not as active as Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An is still a fun place to visit. If you’re looking for a quiet place, or interested in buying new suits, check this place out. It’s laid back atmosphere is a welcome break from Vietnam’s more hectic cities.
When you’re in Vietnam, I’d recommend taking a trip here.
