Once upon a time, foreign gold diggers set their sights on lonely and wealthy retirees. Now, they’ve lowered their standards so much that I’m getting targeted!

Why Foreign Gold Diggers Are So Common
Certain countries produce a glut of “salaried girlfriends” who exist solely to bleed as much cash from random men as possible.
The biggest reason for this is simply due to the fact that the countries these girls live in are economically sparse. You can work 12 hours at the local supermarket for $2 a day, or you can con some chump into sending you $100 through PayPal.
In countries like The Philippines, China, Columbia, and Poland, many people earn less than $10,000 a year. In fact, the average Chinese doctor makes about $11,000 in annual salary. If you’re a hot girl, you can become comparably rich by leeching off one or two thirsty guys per year.
Additionally, many foreign gold diggers do use their money to support family members or lift their communities out of poverty.
Sounds cheesy, but I’ve met a few girls who actually did support their whole backwaters village off begging fat Ned or geriatric Sven for extra cash. Nothing wrong with that, just make sure you’re not the guy writing checks.

Because some chick he went out with refused to split their coffee bill and didn’t offer to repay him for their shared Uber fare. Both expenses totaled less than $5.
If you’re used to dating in the West, you’re probably accustomed to women splitting the bill with you. That’s pretty common on most casual dates. Especially if you’ve met on a site like Tinder. Overseas it’s different. Many cultures are more traditional and the man always pays on a date.
That’s not gold digging, and 99% of girls will expect you to cover their cab fare or pay for dinner.
Some guys think that’s annoying at first, but you get used to it. Especially since most restaurants and cafes are way cheaper than the USA or Europe. Covering your date’s $1.50 coffee isn’t exactly the same as sponsoring some gold digger’s lavish lifestyle.
That said, here are five ways to spot a foreign gold digger:
- She only wants to eat at restaurants or cafes way beyond here lifestyle range (i.e. a girl who demands you take her out to $200 a plate restaurants, in a city where most meals cost less than $15).
- Constantly talking about money. A lot of gold diggers in the Philippines do this. They constantly bring up money or ask how much you make. Pretty obvious tell.
- Expensive tastes (she has a retail job, but owns an authentic $5,000 designer handbag).
- Friends are legitimate hookers or have foreign “sponsors” (birds of a feather flock together).
- Flat-out asks you for huge amounts of money or for expensive gifts (wants $500 for shopping, or tells you to buy her a plane ticket abroad).
These are the most common (and obvious) tells. If you’re talking to a girl and she starts exhibiting any of these behaviors, cut her off. There’s a 100% chance her demands only increase with time.

In the West, gold diggers or sugar babies are generally way hotter than your average girl. There’s a reason why sites like Seeking Arrangement are popular. And it’s because the women are leagues better than your average chick.
Overseas things are different. Most women fall into the cute to semi-hot range, and any dating site will give you plenty of attractive prospects to choose from.
A site like VietnamCupid or AsiaDating has plenty of female users who are way hotter than your average American girl. And, the women on these sites are genuinely nice and friendly.
Unless you’re an 80 year-old, you really don’t need to go down the gold digger route.
Instead, stick to dating cute and pleasant normal girls. They’re just as attractive, and aren’t after your money.
