Here’s a fun date idea that works especially well in Asia: Inviting a girl over to play video games with you. Gaming is really popular here, and a lot of women love it.
Seriously.
I’d guess at least 9 out of every 10 girls I talk to plays games on a daily basis.
Most of these are phone based (farming simulators are still huge here), but they’re open to almost any type of gaming. If you own a PC or gaming console, you’ve gt an excellent date opportunity.
Here’s how it works.
The Home Video Game Date
(A Lot Of Chicks Will Bring Up Gaming On Their Own)
If you’re messaging a girl (either through texts or a site like VietnamCupid), and she mentions that she like playing games, inquire more.
Talk about this a bit, and find out what kinds of games she likes.
Then, mention that you like gaming too (hot tip: keep it simple on your end and don’t go into tons of technical details about an ultra nerdy title like Hearts Of Iron or Dark Souls). If she thinks whatever games you play are cool, invite her over.
As far as the date itself, you want to have some games that both of you can play together.
You also want the titles to be a little on the casual side, and not too gory or scary.
Playing a game like Outlast with cannibal rapists and gallons of blood is a good way to scare chicks off (especially when their idea of gaming involves cute farm animals or silly cartoon-like graphics).
Because of this, my go-to game is Spelunky. It’s a fun little platformer with an Indian Jones theme to it.
If you have a set of gaming controllers (like these ones), just hook your laptop to your TV the two of you can play that way.
Beyond this, having a girl over to play video games works a lot like a home dinner date, or “Netflix & Chill.” It’s a fun activity you can do together at your place, and it usually leads to sex.
And even if it doesn’t, you’ve still got a hot girl over playing video games with you. So, still a pretty good night.
Final Thoughts
One last thing I will mention is this.
If you’re living in a country with strong language barriers (Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea, Japan) this is also a good icebreaker activity. Going out for coffee or to a bar is more conversation focused. And the two of you are going to have a tough time communicating.
With video games, there’s a lot less talking. Allowing the two of you to still have fun even if you have a hard time communicating.
The next time you’re looking for a unique (and enjoyable) date idea, give this one a try.
