Does Money Attract Girls?

Does money attract girls? This is an age old question, and the driving force behind many consumerist men’s magazines like GQ. If conventional wisdom is believed, you can’t get laid (or even go on a date) unless you’re making six figures with a nice wristwatch and BMW 3 series.

Reality, on the other hand, is a bit different.

I’ll explain.

Does Money Attract Girls?

Between quarantine closing everything down and smart dividend stock investments, I had enough extra cash to buy myself an 18 karat Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse. This is a fantastic timepiece, and I love it. But, it gets zero attention from women. Fine by me, I bought it for myself after all, but interesting to see.

Most women cannot detect money unless you’re showing off something that’s super gaudy or from a very well-known brand name. You could buy a big, loud Invincta watch for $70 and get more attention than you would from most of Patek Philippe line.

Additionally, and here’s what most men forget, women are attracted to fun and success, not money itself.

Outside a few gold diggers, most girls aren’t chasing boring dentists or accountants for their cash.

But they are looking for guys who are winners and fun to be around.

Money does attract girls to a degree, but there are other (better) options too.

Here are three of them..

Being Physically Fit

This is the easiest way to attract women. If you are in-shape (or at the very least, not fat) you’re going to have a much better and easier sex life.

With most of the world stuck at home, you’re going to see way fewer physically fit men. And this means that having some muscle mass instantly puts you ahead of the competition.

Case in point, I’ve had pretty lousy workouts since the gym closed. I’m stuck doing basic compound lifts, and this means a lot of my ancillary muscles are pretty atrophied (forearms for instant). Nevertheless, I still get good compliments on my physique, and a lot of women have mentioned that there are very few hot guys right now due to most men giving up on physical fitness.

(If You’re In Decent Shape, Take A “Towel Shot”)

If you’re at home, or just don’t want to go to the gym, pick up a copy of Special Ops Fitness Training and do the workouts in it. Otherwise grab a Super Squats paperback and hit the weight room. You’ll bulk up fast.

Having A Sense Of Adventure

This one can be summed up in three words: Don’t be boring.

Have a hobby outside of watching sports or playing video games. Pick up a guitar or take a painting class.

A lot of women complain, saying that the majority f men either spend their time obsessing over work or sports. By having something else going on in your life, you side-step that problem. Bonus points if you pick an activity that’s also viewed as fancy or classy (like learning French or becoming an expert on wine).

Looking Rich

Looking rich has nothing to do with buying luxury goods, leasing a car, or going into debt while pretending to be a millionaire.

You can make yourself look more successful through very simple activities like keeping your apartment clean or buying some paintings to decorate the walls. If you’re out and about, wear clothes that properly fit and skip the basketball shorts or graphic t-shirts.

Seriously, this simple stuff puts you ahead of 99% of the guys out there.

Last year I visited an old friend from college. Holy cow, his apartment looked like it was straight from that popular Twitter meme. Big surprise, but he struggles with women.

(The Popular “Guys Live In Apartments Like This” Meme)

You can easily separate yourself from the competition with a few inexpensive paintings (Amazon has a whole category) and a plant of two.

Same goes for clothes or style You can buy a nice dress shirt for under $50 and then get it altered to fit you. That’s going to look one hundred times better than wearing a graphic t-shirt around. Laugh all you want, but one of my most complimented items is a light blue cardigan I bought at T.J. Maxx for $20. Women frequently (about once per week) say nice things about it.

When it comes to style, a little effort goes a long way. And simply trying will make you stand out against most guys.

Final Thoughts

When t comes to money, I’ve had none and I’ve had lots. In either case, it really didn’t affect my dating life. And it probably won’t affect yours either.

You do not need to be a physician who makes $600,000 and drives cool cars in order to get laid. Realistically speaking, you can do a lot better than 99% of men by simply being in decent shape; reasonably stylish (again, no need to break the bank here); and somewhat interesting. These are not huge hurdles to overcome, and you can easily master each area within a few months.

Remember, you don’t need to be in the top 1% to be successful. If you want to beat your competition, you just have to be slightly better than them.

And in today’s social climate, that’s pretty easy.
